DAY 01

Welcome to Chennai – City, Sea & Spirit

Touch down at Chennai Airport, where you're warmly greeted and introduced to your driver. Check in at your hotel, refresh, and then head straight to the vibrant Marina Beach—the second-longest urban beach in the world. Watch locals fly kites, snack vendors sell spicy street food, and waves crash against the golden sands. It's more than just a beach—it’s the heartbeat of the city.

Overnight: Chennai

DAY 02

Ancient Echoes by the Sea – Drive to Mahabalipuram

After a relaxed breakfast, drive 2 hours south along the scenic East Coast Road to Mahabalipuram. Once a powerful port city of the Pallava dynasty, today it's a sleepy fishing village hiding architectural marvels.

Discover UNESCO-listed rock-cut temples, the stunning Shore Temple, and intricately carved Arjuna's Penance. In 2004, the tsunami revealed submerged temple remains here, adding new mysteries to this ancient shoreline.

Overnight: Mahabalipuram

DAY 03

French Whispers in a Tamil Town – To Pondicherry via Auroville

Morning by the beach? Or breakfast with a view? Then, drive another 2 hours to Pondicherry. En route, stop at Auroville, a utopian township dedicated to peace, sustainability, and human unity—an ongoing global experiment since the 1960s.

On arrival in Pondicherry, wander its French Quarter with pastel-colored colonial buildings, quiet lanes, and bougainvillea-draped balconies. Cross into the vibrant Tamil Quarter, full of bustling markets and temples. Round off the day with a walk along the seaside promenade, the salty air in your lungs and the sea stretching to the horizon.

Overnight: Pondicherry

DAY 04

Danish Days in Tranquebar – India’s Forgotten Coastal Fort

Step off the usual tourist trail as you drive down the coast to Tranquebar (Tharangambadi), once a Danish trading post. This quaint seaside town tells forgotten stories—visit Dansborg Fort, which still guards the shore, and stroll the streets lined with fading colonial-era homes and churches. The wind here carries whispers of missionaries, mariners, and monarchs.

Overnight: Tranquebar

DAY 05

Bridge to the Divine – Pilgrimage to Rameshwaram

Head further south to Rameshwaram, a sacred town believed to be where Lord Rama built a bridge (now called Adam’s Bridge or Ram Setu) to Sri Lanka. Explore the Ramanathaswamy Temple with its magnificent corridors and sacred tanks, then watch the sunset on beaches that face the mythic seas of the Ramayana.

Overnight: Rameshwaram

DAY 06

The Edge of India – Kanyakumari’s Triveni Sangam

Today, your journey takes you to the very tip of the Indian subcontinent—Kanyakumari. This is where three seas converge: the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea. Visit the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial by ferry and feel the power of standing at the confluence of waters, culture, and faith.

Overnight: Kanyakumari

DAY 07

Sunrise Farewell – Depart via Trivandrum

Begin your day with a magical sunrise over the ocean, a daily ritual that draws locals and travellers alike. Then drive to Trivandrum, Kerala’s capital. If time permits, unwind on the beaches of Kovalam, just a short drive from the airport. Your Tamil coastal journey concludes with salty air in your lungs, sun-kissed memories, and sand still in your shoes.

Departure: Trivandrum Airport
